Another Successful "Adopt-a-Street" Event!

October 20, 2018, was an amazing day for the Hollywood Hills Civic Association "Adopt-a-Street" event.

Lots of trash was collected between 46th Avenue and 56th Avenue on Thomas Street in Hollywood. Almost 100 pounds of metal, wood, newspapers, cigar and cigarette butts, nails, plastic bottles, beer bottles, and mini alcohol bottles were picked up off the streets. It was a great feeling knowing we made a difference today.

• A Special Thank You to Marc Vollman, Mardi Podesta, Dominic Anfuso, Sharon Nowell, Rick Prindeville and Pam Burgio for a job well done!

• Thank you to the City of Hollywood Public Works Department for providing all the necessary tools for the street cleanup.

Let's all try to do our part while out walking or riding your bicycle, try to bring a pair of gloves and a small garbage bag so if you happen upon any trash, then you could pick it up and dispose of it properly. You will feel good knowing you are helping to keep your City cleaner.

Mark your calendars for the next Adopt-a-Street Event, Saturday, January 19, 2019.

* Supplies and water will be provided.
