"Thank You Letter" from Victoria Molina

Received: Friday, May 31, 2019

My name is Victoria Molina and I am a recent Graduate of St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida. I was blessed enough to receive the Hollywood Civic Association scholarship a few years ago based upon my hard work and dedication of service and academics. I love being able to share with those new recipients each year where life has currently led me and how the scholarship assisted me in achieving my goals and dreams.

I attended St. Thomas University for my Undergraduate degree; I graduated in May of 2017 with my Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Minor in Education, and my ESOL certification. I returned immediately back to school that next Fall and began studying for my Master’s degree. I graduated with my Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Sports Administration and Certification in Global Marketing in December of 2018.

Life has thrown many different curveballs my way and God has a plan for all of us. The Hollywood Civic Association Scholarship assisted me in achieving parts of God’s plan by helping me to pay for my undergraduate degree; I have no loans to pay back and am not in debt because of the different opportunities and scholarships I was able to receive. It also led me back to Hollywood as I am now currently working as the Coordinator of Religious Education and Youth Ministry at Nativity Catholic Church here in Hollywood. With this job, one of the many tasks I look forward to accomplishing is assisting current high school students find new and as many service opportunities as possible while still being able to attain their high academic achievements just as I had the chance to do when I attended Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory (Class of 2013).

I want to thank the Hollywood Civic Association for giving me the opportunities to reach new heights and continue to better myself; to always keep pushing to assist other high school students, just as they did for me, and finding a new dream and goal to achieve. Without your help a few years ago, I may not have been able to be where I am today. You truly helped my family assist me in to being where I am now. I graciously thank you and am honored to be able to say I have been a part of this phenomenal scholarship opportunity.
